Hey guys,
At the last meeting, We noticed a lot of people had the drain holes in their lower fairings either wrong or not fitted.
with all this rain happening I think it is a timely reminder to us all of the rule and the application:
15.3.1.8
Machines with a lower fairings must have holes
c) With no less than 2 holes, each of 25mm, which MAY only be opened in wet race conditions. (May is open to Cof C determination)
Basically this rule states, that bikes with lower fairings must have two holes of 25mm. diameter. drilled into them. these holes should be plugged up by a rubber grommet or taped sufficiently so any fluid leaked from the engine or cooling system is not able to escape the fairing catch area.
Only when a race has been declared wet, can these plugs be removed.
So when you bring your bike to Scrutineering can you please have the plugs or tape installed.
I hope this clears up some of the confusion we have had.
Thanks
Ken C
